WPCentrify, by MarQira

WPCentrify: WordPress management that checks its own work

WPCentrify is the WordPress management platform we built to run our clients’ sites. Every update is tested before it goes live and undone if anything breaks, uptime is checked every minute, backups are proven by restoring them, and the monthly report writes itself.

  • 7 stageson every update, with automatic rollback
  • 60 sbetween uptime checks
  • Testedrestores, on a schedule
  • Freeduring early access

What WPCentrify is: a WordPress management platform

WPCentrify is a WordPress management platform: one dashboard for updating, backing up, monitoring, securing and reporting on any number of WordPress sites. MarQira builds it, and it is the system behind every WordPress site we look after.

We built it because the routine work of keeping WordPress healthy is where most problems start. A plugin update that breaks a checkout, a backup nobody has tried to restore, a new admin account no one noticed. Tools that only press the update button leave the checking to a person. WPCentrify does the checking itself and keeps a record of what it did.

It works with the host a site already uses. A small connector plugin links each site to the dashboard, so nothing has to move.

Safe updates: seven stages, automatic rollback

WordPress safe updates mean an update proves itself on a copy of the site before it touches the real one. Run the demo to watch a passing update ship, then make one fail.

Each release gets a risk score first: how big the version jump is, what the changelog says and whether it fixes a known vulnerability. Then a restore point is saved and the update runs on a disposable staging copy.

On staging, WPCentrify checks that pages still load without errors, compares screenshots of key templates before and after, and tests the things that earn money: forms submit, carts add products, checkout and login work. Only a clean pass reaches the live site.

If any check fails, the site stays on the version that worked and the update is pinned, so it does not try again until the cause is fixed.

  • Updates that check themselves, and undo themselves
  • A risk score on every update
  • An automatic backup before every update
  • Bulk plugin, theme and core updates across sites

Monitoring: uptime every 60 seconds and security changes as they happen

Uptime and performance

Every site is checked every 60 seconds from several regions. When a check fails, a second location confirms it before an alert goes out, so a blip on one network does not wake anyone up.

  • Instant alerts by email, Slack, Teams, Discord or SMS
  • Core Web Vitals and response time tracked over time
  • Traffic and uptime for every site on one screen
How WordPress uptime monitoring works

Security

Vulnerability data is matched against the exact plugin, theme and core versions each site runs, and ranked by exposure, so the riskiest fix is first in the queue. Sentinel watches for the changes that usually signal trouble.

  • File changes, checked for integrity
  • New administrator accounts
  • Sign-ins, plus an upload shield

Backups that are restore-tested

A backup only counts if it restores. WPCentrify keeps encrypted, incremental backups off the server they protect, and tests restores on a schedule, so the first time a backup is restored is never the day you need it.

Every action that changes a site takes a restore point first, so stepping back is one click, and staging copies and clones are made from the same dashboard.

  • Encrypted and off-site, stored away from the site’s own server
  • Incremental, so backups stay quick on large sites
  • Restore-tested on a schedule
  • One-click restore to any saved point
  • Staging and cloning from the dashboard

White-label reports

Client reports go out automatically under the agency’s own brand, with a plain-language summary at the end of each month. Clients see the work that kept their site running without having to ask for it, and nobody spends the first morning of the month assembling screenshots.

Clients and team members get their own access through a client portal, with roles and permissions, and every action is kept in an activity log.

  • White-label reports, sent automatically
  • A plain-language monthly summary
  • Client portal with roles and permissions
  • One-click login to every site
  • An activity log of every change

How MarQira uses WPCentrify for client sites

WPCentrify is how we deliver WordPress care. When you hand us a site, this is what changes.

  1. We connect your site

The connector plugin goes on with a scoped key. Your site stays with your host, and no admin password is shared.

  2. Updates go through the stages

Core, plugin and theme updates are tested on staging first. If a check fails, the live site never changes.

  3. We watch it around the clock

Uptime every 60 seconds, security alerts as they happen and backups we know will restore.

  4. You get the report

A monthly summary in plain language, showing what we did and what we stopped.

We still manage the website we built for Rehab Carolina, a rehabilitation practice in the Charleston area. We also use WPCentrify on marqira.com itself: how we use WPCentrify live chat on our own site explains that part. Plans, scope and what is included are on our WordPress management service page, or tell us about the sites you need looked after.

  • Hostinger
  • GoDaddy

Questions about WPCentrify

What is WPCentrify?

WPCentrify is a WordPress management platform built by MarQira. It runs updates through seven safety checks with automatic rollback, checks uptime every 60 seconds, keeps restore-tested off-site backups and sends white-label client reports, for every connected site from one dashboard.

Is WPCentrify free?

Yes, while it is in early access, and no credit card is needed. Plan prices will be announced at launch on January 1, 2027. Early-access members keep launch pricing for 12 months.

Do I have to move my site to a new host?

No. WPCentrify is hosting-neutral. A small connector plugin goes on each site and the site stays where it is, whether that is WP Engine, Kinsta, SiteGround, Hostinger, a VPS or a cPanel or Plesk server.

Does WPCentrify need my WordPress admin password?

No. The connector uses a scoped key instead of your admin password, and you can deactivate it from WordPress at any time.

Is WPCentrify a ManageWP alternative?

It covers the same job of running many WordPress sites from one place, with assisted migration from ManageWP, MainWP and WP Umbrella. What we built it around is that every update is tested on staging, compared visually and rolled back automatically if a check fails.

I want MarQira to look after my site. Do I need my own WPCentrify account?

Our WordPress management service runs on WPCentrify, so the updates, monitoring, backups and reports come with it. If you would rather run the platform yourself, early access is open at wpcentrify.com (opens in a new tab).

For anything about your own sites, use our contact form. Product questions can also go straight to the WPCentrify team on wpcentrify.com.
