WPCentrify
Our own WordPress management platform, the system behind our WordPress care
What is included: updates, backups, security, uptime, performance and content changes
WordPress management, sometimes sold as a WordPress care plan, covers the jobs every site needs and nobody has time for. Here is what we take off your hands.
Updates
WordPress core, plugins and themes, kept current. Every update is risk-scored, backed up and tested on a staging copy before it reaches your live site.
Backups
Encrypted, off-site backups with one-click restore, plus a restore point before every action that changes your site. Backups are restore-tested, so we know they work before you need one.
Security
Vulnerability scanning matched to the plugins and themes you run, and alerts for file changes, new administrator accounts and sign-ins. Our guide to WordPress security monitoring explains each check.
Uptime
Your site is checked every 60 seconds, and an outage is confirmed from a second location before an alert goes out, so real problems are caught and blips are not. More in our WordPress uptime monitoring guide.
Performance
Core Web Vitals and server response time tracked over time, so a slow plugin or an oversized image is caught early, plus speed optimization when the numbers slip.
Content changes
Small edits handled for you: new text and images, updated opening hours, a new team member or a fresh page, without you logging in to WordPress.
All of it runs on WPCentrify, our own WordPress management platform. Because we build the tool, we know exactly what it checks, and we can improve it when a client site needs something new.
How a safe update works: seven checks before anything reaches your live site
Updates are where most WordPress sites break. WPCentrify runs every update through the same seven stages, and nothing ships until each one passes.
Risk-score the release
The version jump, the changelog and known vulnerabilities are weighed first.
Take a restore point
An encrypted snapshot of the files and the database, taken before anything changes.
Apply on staging first
The update runs on a disposable copy of your site, never straight on production.
Run health checks
Status codes, PHP errors and whether the WordPress admin is still reachable.
Visual regression test
Before-and-after screenshots of key templates, compared for unexpected changes.
Test what earns money
Forms submit, carts add, checkout loads and logins work.
Ship, or roll back
A pass ships to your live site; a failure rolls back and the update is pinned.
Every update, on every site we manage, takes this path. If any check fails, the update is rolled back to the restore point and pinned, so it is not tried again until someone has looked at why. Your live site never sees the broken version.

Monitoring and reports you can read
Monitoring runs around the clock in WPCentrify. What reaches you is short, clear and free of jargon.
- Uptime checked every 60 seconds, confirmed from a second location before an alert goes out.
- Vulnerability scanning across your plugins and themes, ranked by exposure.
- Core Web Vitals and response time, tracked over time.
- Sentinel alerts for file changes, new administrators and sign-ins.
- A monthly report, white-labelled and sent automatically, with a plain-language summary of what was updated, backed up and fixed.
Still looking after Rehab Carolina
We rebuilt the website of Rehab Carolina, a 30-year physical therapy practice with four Charleston-area clinics, and we still manage it today.
Plans
A brochure site, a busy WooCommerce store and a membership site need different levels of care, so every plan starts with a look at your site.
Every plan is tailored after an audit of your site and quoted individually. All plans run on WPCentrify and include safe updates, backups, monitoring and a monthly report; how often updates run and how much content work is included depend on the site. Ask for a quote: we reply within 1 hour.
How we take over a site
Deep-dive audit
We review your plugins, theme, hosting, backups, security and speed, and list what needs fixing first.
Tailored plan
We agree what the plan covers, how updates are scheduled and who to contact when something needs a decision.
Proactive maintenance and optimization
We connect the site to WPCentrify and start safe updates, backups and the fixes from the audit.
Continuous monitoring and support
Uptime, security and performance are watched around the clock, and you get a report every month.
Your site stays where it is
No need to move hosts: a small connector plugin goes on each site and the site stays where it is. The connector uses a scoped key, never your admin password, and you can deactivate it from WordPress at any time.
Works with hosts including
- WP Engine
- Kinsta
- SiteGround
- Cloudways
- Bluehost
- Hostinger
- GoDaddy
- Rocket.net
- Pressable
- DreamHost
- Namecheap
- Self-hosted VPS
- cPanel
- Plesk

Questions about WordPress management
Short answers first. Anything else, ask us directly.
What is included in WordPress maintenance?
Core, plugin and theme updates tested before they go live, encrypted off-site backups, security and vulnerability monitoring, uptime checks every 60 seconds, speed monitoring, content changes and a plain-language report every month.
What is WPCentrify?
WPCentrify is MarQira’s own WordPress management platform. Every update goes through seven safety checks with automatic rollback. Uptime is checked every 60 seconds, backups are restore-tested and clients get white-label reports. It is free during early access.
Do I have to move my site to a new host?
No. WPCentrify works with hosts such as WP Engine, Kinsta, SiteGround, Cloudways and Bluehost, and with your own server. A small connector plugin goes on the site, which stays where it is. The connector uses a scoped key, never your admin password.
What happens if an update breaks something?
It should never reach your live site. Each update is applied to a staging copy first and checked for errors, visual changes and broken forms, carts or checkout. If any check fails, the update is rolled back to the restore point taken just before it and pinned until someone has looked at why.
How will I know my site is being looked after?
You get a white-label report at the end of each month with a plain-language summary of what was updated, backed up and fixed. Uptime and security alerts reach us as they happen, so we can act on them straight away.
How much does WordPress maintenance cost?
Every plan is quoted individually after we look at your site, because a WooCommerce store or membership site needs more care than a brochure site. Contact us with your site address and we will reply within 1 hour.
Tell us what you’re building.
A short message is enough. We read every enquiry personally and reply with honest next steps, even if that means pointing you elsewhere.
